Renting for a student or a school band? Our student rental guide covers month-to-month terms, what comes with a beginner instrument, and how rent-to-own programs actually work. →What a trumpet rental costs, by the day
Pick your dates and pay online. These are the real totals, fee included — the booking page prices your dates on all three tiers, and when a longer rental would cost you less it says so and swaps you over in one tap.
| How long | You pay | How that adds up |
|---|---|---|
| 1 day | $14 | $2 for the day plus the one-time $12 short-term rental fee |
| 3 days | $18 | 3 × $2 a day plus the one-time $12 short-term rental fee |
| 1 week | $19 | $14 for the week plus the one-time $5 short-term rental fee |
| 2 weeks | $33 | 2 × $14 a week plus the one-time $5 short-term rental fee |
| 1 month | $35 | $35 for the month, and the short-term rental fee does not apply |
Worth knowing: four days of trumpet works out at $20 — 4 × $2 a day plus the one-time $12 short-term rental fee. A whole week is $19. A week costs less than four days, and the booking page offers the longer rental so you can choose it.
The short-term rental fee is a one-time charge, not a daily one — $12 on a rental booked by the day, $5 by the week, nothing on a month. It is what keeps the daily rate at $2, and it is on the summary before you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I oil the valves?
Oil the valves weekly or whenever they feel sticky. Use only trumpet valve oil (included with rental). Remove each valve, apply 2-3 drops, and work it in by pressing the valve several times.
Will you price match a better rental offer?
Absolutely! We price match any comparable trumpet rental. Show us the competing price and we'll make sure you get the best deal.
Do you have trumpets available now?
Most instruments are rented out right now. Join the waitlist and we text you the day one comes back — your place is held in order. Contact us to check availability and reserve your trumpet. We respond within 24 hours with availability confirmation!
Can I rent a trumpet for just a few days?
Yes. The trumpet rents by the day, the week or the month, booked and paid for online. One day is $14 all in — $2 for the day plus the one-time $12 short-term rental fee — and a week is $19. You choose a pickup or delivery time as part of checkout.
What is the short-term rental fee?
A one-time $12 on a rental booked by the day, $5 by the week, and nothing at all on a month. It is charged ONCE per rental, not per day — it covers getting the instrument checked, cleaned and handed over, and it is what keeps the daily rate down to $2. It appears as its own line on the summary before you pay.
How do I collect the trumpet?
A person hands it to you. Pickup from our East Village location is free, at a time you choose at checkout, or we deliver for $25 in a two-hour window you pick. There is no locker and nothing to collect unattended. Delivery starts the day after you book, so a rental beginning today has to be a pickup.
Can I extend a short-term rental?
Yes — message us before it is due back. We re-price the whole rental at its new length and charge only the difference, so you never pay the short-term rental fee twice, and if the longer length crosses into a cheaper tier you get the cheaper tier.
Is there a deposit?
No deposit. You pay for the rental itself, plus delivery if you choose it, and nothing else up front. You are responsible for the instrument while it is with you, which is what the rental agreement covers.
