Instrument Rentals in Manhattan

Kalman Music Lessons rents instruments to Manhattan musicians, students, and first-time players. Collect your rental at an arranged time in the East Village, or choose $25 delivery to your Manhattan address.

A rental for your apartment, lesson, or next session

Start with the instrument and the length of time you need it. A keyboard for an ongoing piano course usually calls for a monthly rental. A guitar or alto saxophone for a visit, rehearsal, or recording session may fit a day or week booking. Kalman Music Lessons offers both arrangements, depending on the instrument.

The rental collection includes keyboards, acoustic/classical and electric guitars, electric bass, saxophones, flutes, clarinets, and trumpets. Check the individual instrument page for equipment and available models. If a teacher or bandleader has specified a particular model, send that requirement before booking.

Looking for a piano rental in Manhattan?

Our keyboard rentals are portable electronic instruments for practice and playing. They include 61- and 88-key options, with weighted and non-weighted models subject to availability. We do not offer acoustic upright or grand piano rentals through this collection.

For piano lessons, ask your teacher whether weighted keys and a full 88-key range are needed. For a smaller practice setup, confirm the keyboard’s dimensions, headphone connection, stand, and pedal arrangements. The NYC apartment keyboard guide walks through those choices before you commit to a model.

East Village pickup or delivery within Manhattan

Pickup is free at our East Village location, by arrangement. Online bookings show available pickup times, and the confirmation supplies the exact address. This is a planned handover, so book the time before making the trip.

Rental delivery costs $25 within Manhattan, including uptown and downtown addresses. Available online delivery windows start the next day; same-day needs should use an available pickup slot. If your building has stairs, a doorman, or delivery instructions, tell us when arranging the handover so everyone knows where to meet.

Choose the right rental term

Alto saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, and guitar can be booked online by the day, week, or month. Daily and weekly bookings include a one-time short-term fee. Compare the total for your actual dates, including delivery if selected.

Keyboards, bass, tenor saxophones, and soprano saxophones are monthly rentals arranged with our team. Monthly rentals have a one-month minimum. For children starting school band, the student rental guide helps you prepare the teacher’s instrument list before making an enquiry.

Returning your instrument

Arrange a return to the East Village when your rental ends. If carrying it across Manhattan is inconvenient, paid collection can be arranged. Read the pickup, delivery, and returns information and keep the case and supplied accessories together so the handover is straightforward.
