Tal is an amazing piano teacher- patient, kind, and truly engaging. My son looks forward to his lessons every week, which says everything. Tal has a special way of making him fall in love with playing. They chose together songs he liks and It motivates him to practice a lot, and we’ve seen such wonderful progress!

Questions Brooklyn families ask

Before you book

Where in Brooklyn do you teach?

Most of Brooklyn, at your apartment. We also have studios across Brooklyn, including Bed-Stuy, Bushwick, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights and Greenpoint, and eleven neighbourhood pages with the local detail: Williamsburg, Park Slope, Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, Greenpoint, Crown Heights, Clinton Hill, Prospect Park, DUMBO, Flatbush and Bay Ridge.

What does the first lesson cost in Brooklyn?

Your first lesson is $15 in our studio or $50 at your home. Brooklyn is New York City, so both options apply — the studio price is for a lesson in one of our Brooklyn studios, and the at-home price is for a teacher coming to you.

What do lessons cost after that?

Studio lessons start at $50 and at-home lessons at $60 per 30-minute lesson, both on a 10-lesson package. The full grid — 30, 45 and 60 minutes, single lessons and packs — is on our pricing page.

Do you come to my apartment, or do I come to you?

Either. A teacher can come to your apartment anywhere in most of Brooklyn, you can come to one of our Brooklyn studios, or lessons can happen online. Families often mix the three depending on the week.

What can I learn?

We teach piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, violin, cello, ukulele, voice and music theory to children and adults, including complete beginners. Brooklyn has borough-wide pages for guitar, bass, drums, clarinet and flute; every other instrument is taught here too, through the neighbourhood pages and the instrument pages.
