Noa is fantastic - she is easily able to adapt a lesson based on needs, even right in the moment. I started Ukelele with my son, and with a 30 min piano lesson for me. She was able to figure out a way for him to join me at the piano, for some fun and impromptu music composition time (and we are both beginners). Very inspiring, highly recommend.

I've been taking saxophone lessons with Tal Kalman for only a few weeks now, but I can already confidently state that he is the best teacher I have ever had. As a young saxophonist trying to grow and find my voice, taking lessons with Tal has been nothing less than inspirational. He teaches in the East Village in Manhattan, and the environment is always creative, motivated, and very supportive. Tal’s approach is personal, clear, and incredibly effective. He’s not only an amazing saxophonist himself, but he also knows exactly how to break things down and help me level up every single week. I’m already hearing huge improvements in my tone, technique, and improvisation skills. On top of that, Tal is just a great guy to be around—laid-back, encouraging, and with really positive vibes. Every lesson feels like it's fun but packed with content. He really knows how to teach and connect, and that makes all the difference. I'm also considering signing my little brother up for clarinet lessons with Tal as well—he teaches clarinet too, and I know my brother would love him just as much as I do. If you're in Manhattan and looking for great saxophone or clarinet lessons, especially in the East Village, Tal Kalman is 100% the guy you want to learn from. Tal is a wonderful and patient piano teacher and I would highly recommend to anyone! I took lessons as a kid and hated it and have forgotten so much. Now as an adult, I’m back and Tal has completely adapted to what my goals are and my knowledge and gotten me so excited to get back into learning! If you’re an adult looking to learn a new skill, I couldn’t recommend him enough. He strikes a great balance between music theory and piano technique and is an incredible musician who can break down complex concepts. It’s never too late to start learning!

I’m new to playing the piano so I was nervous to take my first lesson today, but Tal was the most perfect instructor. He’s extremely kind and professional, and creates a laidback and comfortable environment to make mistakes and learn. He taught at a great pace, and made the whole experience informative and enjoyable. You can tell he is well-versed in playing the piano and teaching others to play. I’m in my mid-twenties with very little music experience, so I was nervous starting piano lessons. Tal made everything simple and fun, explaining concepts clearly and keeping me motivated. He’s easy to communicate and schedule with, which fits well with my busy life. In just a few weeks, I’ve made great progress and am already playing recognizable songs from my book, including one by Mozart! Tal is really the best piano teacher I’ve had. I’ve tried several teacher sin NYC and it just didn’t work out. I’ve been studying with Tal now for almost 2 years and this is the first time I’ve felt motivated to practice in a long time. As a result my classical piano playing improved so much.
