Our Teachers' Review
The large saxophone harness is designed for tenor saxophone players and taller students who need more support than a standard neck strap can provide. Tenor saxophones are significantly heavier than altos, and a harness makes a substantial difference in comfort during practice sessions and performances.
Even for adult players, the weight of a tenor saxophone on a neck strap can cause discomfort and tension over time. A harness eliminates this issue by distributing the load across the shoulders and back, allowing for relaxed, tension-free playing.
Our teachers recommend the large harness for all tenor saxophone students and for any alto players who are tall enough that the small harness doesn't fit comfortably. The fully adjustable design accommodates a wide range of body sizes and can be easily adjusted as students grow.
